Guidelines for Issuance of TFN to Tax Free Entities

Important Notice

Requirement for Furnishing CNIC/NTN 
of Unregistered buyers in the sales tax returns shall be implemented in a phased manner under SRO 191(I)/2012 with effect from 1st March 2012.
Requirement of Furnishing CNIC / NTN
of unregistered buyers in the sales tax returns shall become mandatory for invoices issued on or after 1st January 2012.

Federal Board of Revenue has decided that all those NTNs issued in individual capacity in which CNIC No (Computerized National Identity Card No) is not provided by the taxpayer will soon be removed from our database.

This decision was taken in a meeting of the Board-in-Council held here recently under the chairmanship of Chairman Federal Board of Revenue.
